Barnet U15s keep up the momentum

What a fantastic morning for a game of rugby . After last weeks great start to the season the boys were all clearly up for it today . This was our first time playing Harlow and I would like to start by saying what a great bunch of lads the Harlow boys were .

With 5 of their boys away at county and 5 new boys standing in we opted to play 4 x 15 minute games with Mostyn in attendance as ref . With it being our first game with lifting in the line outs we were also able to rotate and get new players oscar and Ben green some game time .

Its fair to say that the Harlow boys struggled with handling and whilst they were strong in the rucks and scrums they gave the ball away too easily and the good Barnet handling and speed getting the ball out to the wings meant Barnet were able to rack up an impressive score today . It was definitely a useful development game with all players getting a taste of some new positions , however Barnet need to be stronger in the rucks and must stay focused particularly having giving away penalties and then turning their backs . Credit to Harlow , whilst their heads went down at half time they played us to the end indeed scoring in the closing minutes . A special mention to their excellent 9 , 10 , and 15 .

There were some great performances all round , Tom Watt had a great game , Ted looked comfortable at 10 , Harry had a great run as did Thomas NS . Parsa and George were immense but that said its hard to look past the incredible job that Ross Forrester did today .5 tries in his first game back at Barnet is a great achievement and he thoroughly deserved the player of the day trophy .

We all look forward to our return game at Harlow when at full strength I think we will have a much closer game .
