Props to the Moroccan love machine !

Its fair to say that today's game was certainly not Barnet's finest , passing and handling were poor , support was too slow , decision making was at best questionable , comms were muted , and the work we have been doing on positioning both on the pitch and when tackling seemed to have gone out the window .

However what we need to remember is that we were without our strongest 10 players either at dpp training or through injury and with only 17 lads turning up it was actually encouraging to see the boys getting progressively stronger through the game . Its important to remember that giving our development players decent game time will strengthen the team overall .

Harrow were the better side moving the ball out well to the wings with their extraordinary number 11 scoring 6 of Harrow 7 tries ( only narrowly missing out on the 7th ) .

Barnet would have done well to listen to the coaches advice and concentrate on a kicking game as when they did use their boots either through Louie , Charlie or Jacob they made good ground .

There were some positive moments , Louis stepping up at 10 was one of the few boys finding their voice , Teg had a stellar game being picked out by the ref as his player of the day , Charlie back at 15 showed he's still got it with some great tackles and clearances , and Josh Shah making his debut was one of the few lads who stuck in his position and made some solid tackles .

The second half was markedly better , almost holding Harrow to a draw after re arranging the squad to bolster the centres , with Callum having a strong game . Barnet were denied a try when a penalty was given against Teg and Jacob was unlucky not to score after taking a quick thinking penalty on the Harrow line .

Player of the day goes to Ben Green , who had a revaltion moment bringing down the Harrow centre , who having been running at full tilt looked as surprised as Ben when he was all but picked of his feet . It just goes to show that positioning is everything and everyone can tackle if they want it enough !

Next weeks away game at Ongar will no doubt be a different story so we would love to have as many parents down as possible .
