BERFC U15 vs CHESHUNT B U15

It was a cold morning and when we arrived the pitch was half frozen but that didn’t put us of playing one of the funniest games this season. We started off strong and with our big strike runners Parsa Dylan and Leevin we managed to score three tries in the first ten minutes. With Ted on fire converting all the kicks this put us ahead by some margin. To be more respectful the coaches took of Parsa , Dylan and Leevin to try and balance the game in their favor. This clearly didn’t work as the Cheshunt players consistant winding up of Cameron inspired him to score after running the whole pitch through the middle of their team .

At half time Liam finally got to play as no one had noticed him on the Cheshunt side of the pitch making daisy chains. In the second half Ted make some good kicks to gain ground, Al and Connor making some brilliant tackles and Owen and Parsa making some great runs through the opposition. With Dylan now playing fullback , Cameron taking the conversions and two of our smallest players in Jacob and Louie in the center our backs were being put under massive pressure and mistakes were made for the opposition to score their only tri.

With Louis awarded the sloth man of the match and Ben making some good comments afterwards it was overall a confident game for Barnet .

Coaches comments :

An unsurprisingly difficult game for the Barnet coaches to manage as our boys were just too strong today and despite trying to condition the game Cheshunt struggled to keep up . That said they played till the whistle and made a few good breaks down the wing . Barnet were better at pressing and once again Harry was super at hooker . One thing we need to do is drive over the ball rather then standing over it . Good effort from all the boys , Reece for his determination and respect , Josh for discovering running the outside line , Connor for some great tackles .
