U15s player Reece Kelly -

It all started on a treacherous cold morning with Barnet looking a bit tired . Hitchin start with a long kick which was secured by one of the Barnet players. However Hichins players passed it down to the wing and there was some sloppy tackling by Barnet and so they scored with onlt 1minute on the clock . Teg Sing wouldn't take it so he get his revenge by scoring a great try on their wing after a quick penalty and good passing from Jacob and Parsa . Some tremendous rucking from George Sturley ( absolute tank ) Parsa Mohajar ( absolute tank ) and Oscar Graham ( playing his first full game and still an absolute tank ) smashing people up in the rucks meant Barnet were getting most of the ball . Amazing hooks from Harry Joseph in the scrum kept barnet in contention . More great try's from Ted Parker intercepting and zooming past the Hichin players put Barnet level at half time. As well as Parsa making large amount of ground with players hanging off him he was immense in the breakdowns . Some brilliant play from the backs especially from Charlie Northrop as full back as his kicking was awesome and he made a lot of ground skinning their players. George fish pool, Josh Bg. Al Mcguiness, Noah Bernhard, Callum BD, Thomas NS and all the backs deserve a mention but the man of the match today is the ( absolute tank ) Tom Watt . He was mustard on the pitch today making ground for Barnet smashing people to bits and he should be very proud of him self. Although we lost , everyone put all their effort in as well as heart . A lot of injuries ( 7 ) probably lost us the game in the dying minutes but that doesn’t matter and we don't need to talk about the bad bits . Another great game Barnet .

And then I woke up and it was all a dream ..

Coaches comments – A great team effort today , great rucking , and some clever short kicks made it tricky for Hitchin who were very strong in the rucks and tackles with an already weakend Barnet side left at one point with 7 players being attended to by the onsite Ambulance team . A great and fair game from both sides in one of the most intense games we have watched for a while . It could have gone either way today . Great Job lads , you should all be very proud .
