Another great morning of tag rugby, thanks to Harpenden for coming down to Barnet and a special thanks to all the coaches for making it such a wonderful morning.
The session started off with a round robin of training exercises designed to improve: footwork, handling, tagging and space awareness, and more importantly, be fun.
After the training drills, we went into matches to see how much had rubbed off and the coaches were all pleased to see improvement across the board. Some definite progress being made on direct running and passing/handling skills. Learning the offside rule is a hard one for some of the U7's but again improvement on the usual chaos. Over the coming weeks we'll be stressing the importance of working hard to support the ball carrier, and the need to work even harder to get back into defensive positions when we don't have the ball.
But for now, lets enjoy the good weather and the moments of skill shown by our budding superstars.
See you next week for the away fixture to Hemel Hempsted.
