Second successive victory in January.

After a brilliantly clear run through on the M25, to get to Feltham, the 1st XV had a brilliant start, scoring inside 30 seconds: Feltham kicked off, the ball was collected and then run through the home team before a break down on their 22 when the ball went loose, GLYN BAYLEY hacked on and won, easily the race for the ball. Unfortunately, he was unable to add the extras. Back came Feltham and they had 15 minutes of ball possession although going nowhere in particular as BEs defence was solid throughout. To add insult to all the home team's efforts, BE then scored from their next attacking move which started with a line-out: a classic catch and drive by acting Captain JAMES ORAM and the power of his pack sent ORAM over for try number two, also unconverted.

About this point, RICKY STEVENS was sin binned for persistent offences and Feltham took advantage by scoring a converted try. for a few minutes, it looked a bit tricky for BE as Feltham were prepared to run when they had the ball. However, another kick ahead by GLYN BAYLEY caused further mayhem in the home 22, and when the penalty was conceded, BAYLEY slotted the goal. With RICKY STEVENS back on the field, he added more insult by scoring the pushover try from a classic controlled scrum. Half time score 7-18.

At that stage, BE's overall control went off the rails, a bit, although they still had plenty of possession and territory. Unfortunately, they chose wrong options and often went down blind alleys. The whole of the second half was very drab, by both sides. Towards the end of the game, Feltham managed a break away which led to a try but there was still enough control for the 1st XV to see out the game and their second win of 2015.
