A losing bonus point was scant reward for the U16s who, until just before the end, were marginally ahead. However, this does not reflect their season.
The season, like everyone else, has been disrupted by the weather and pitch conditions. Moreover, due to other Club's failures - eg Harrow - they have "lost" two match points as the opposition never recorded the fixture played on 10th March, let alone the result: that has been put to the League so, at worst, the U16s will gain two extra match points for the defeat (39-43) but, at best, they will be awarded a five point automatic 45-0 win.
Unfortunately, the U16s could not pit their strengths and skills against the eventual Champions, Harlequins, due to time limits and the reluctance of other teams to be flexible in match arrangements: consequently, Barnet and Harlequins have agreed to a 0-0 draw so that should be an extra bonus point to be added by the League administrators.
