Rugby is not just a sport for our team, it is a place where you can bond with team mates for life, learn new skills, keep fit and try and implement the TREDS core rugby values (Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship) into everyday life.

The under 15s team is for Boys who start / started year 10 in September 2024.

We have a squad of around 22 players who train and play regularly together. The coaching team have been with this squad since they were 6 years old, and we have always kept it inclusive and enjoyable. We aim to ensure everyone plays and everyone has fun. The DBS checked coaches (all volunteers and fathers) have all undergone courses in training, rugby first aid, safeguarding, head injuries as well as rugby coaching and refereeing qualifications.

We train together as a squad and rigorously implement the RFU half game rule (https://englandrugby.com/halfgame) . Although a successful side (2024 County Shield winners), we never put winning at the expense of the enjoyment of our players.

We have matches most Sundays (friendlies, league games and cup games) and train usually 7pm on Thursday evenings at Byng Road.

We play a variety of opposition and will be visiting everywhere from Enfield to Ealing this season, and we will be showing all the clubs we play the fantastic team spirit and positivity that our players play with.

We have a fantastic parent group, who are brilliant with volunteering, fund raising and being well natured support on the touchline. They are an active part of the social life of the team, and have forged great memories and friendships over the years. Their main strength is making new players and parents feel welcome and we really welcome anyone who wants to try things out.

We finish the season with one of our memorable 'Rugby Tours' where it is difficult to know who has more fun, the parents or the players. In the past we have been to Weston-super-mare, Camber Sands, Skegness and more recently Milan (Italy). We are planning an epic tour next year.

Rugby is a development sport and people join it at various points in their life. One England player didn't take up Rugby until he was 17 years old (although this is exceptional!). Ideally some experience would be good, but if someone wants to play, we have the coaches to be able to bring them on during training sessions.
