Saturday's Merit Table Finals Day at Saracens RFC saw the joint 2nds, with Tabard, play a strong Bishops Stortford side.

In the end, the Stortford side, who have played together for several seasons, were just too good for BE/Tabard although our team efforts were commendable and never died even when the result was obvious.

Full marks to the players for the players for trying to play rugby for 80 minutes, without flagging. Considering BE and Tabard players had only a few matches, between them, until the beginning of February, this was a great team show and, hopefully, the players will be refreshed for next season in both the Merit Table and Merit Table Cup Competitions.
