Match Report - Letchworth V Barnet

The “Barnet Bibs” were too strong for their opposition with some great tries from the new boys and girls. Letchworth did come back and our tagging could have been better but with a try count of over 20 against 12, it is a great start to the season!

The “Barnet Blues” played 3 games too and ran out eventual winners by 2 games to 1. It didn’t start well though, as it took us a half in the first game to really get going. There were some really strong runs in attack, but poor tagging and backing off in defence let us down. By the second game however, the tagging was back up to scratch, so much so that Letchworth started dropping the ball forward and running into touch; even their star player struggled to find space! Like in the final game, our jinking runs were backed up superbly and really crisp sideways passing made try scoring easy.
